Because of the stamp like feature there are more configuration options for the brushes, and there's now a small preview window for how the brush looks (which also is dope af, because before I used to have to try out the settings)Īnd a few other things, that I liked a lot: I used to have to switch to Photoshop for adjustments, but SAI 2 now has gaussian blur, and more layer modes (almost as many as Photoshop and also brush modes in the latest version). Especially the latest version that I spoke of above. The only thing I'm low key annoyed with is the fact that new canvases are by default "white background", and if you want to save transparent pngs you need to go to canvas, background color, and select transparent (I always run into this trap, when I try to save transparent pngs and then wonder why it isn't transparent.) But unless you exclusively save in png and don't use sai files, this isn't a major problem. I also haven't had any issues with loading and saving. No I haven't experienced any bugs with my SAI 2 (I haven't tested the 20180920 version in dept yet since I updated just yesterday), and it's still pretty lightweight (i.e. I just found out about this yesterday but as of the very latest version of Sai 2 (20180920) they offer custom brushes! I don't mean those stupid textures that don't look all that good, but actual stamp like brushes like in photoshop! I don't know if the others before me mentioned it, but it's fairly new so not everyone knows about this feature I think.Īside from that.
